Vinayaka Chaturthi Pooja is a highly auspicious ritual dedicated to Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles and the deity of wisdom and new beginnings. Observed on the fourth day of the lunar fortnight, this pooja is performed to invoke Ganesha's blessings for success, prosperity, and protection in personal and professional endeavors.
Devotees perform the pooja with offerings of modak, durva grass, red flowers, and chant mantras such as Ganapati Atharvasheersha. Process
- The pooja begins with purification rituals and Ganapati Sthapana (idol installation).
- Sankalp is taken followed by chanting of Ganapati Atharvasheersha or 108 names of Lord Ganesha.
- Offerings such as durva grass, red flowers, coconut, and modak (Lord Ganesha’s favorite sweet) are made.
- Aarti and mantras are performed to invoke Lord Ganesha’s blessings for success and obstacle removal.
